IGNOU OPENMAT MBA and Management Entrance Exam 2024
IGNOU OPENMAT used to be an entrance exam conducted by IGNOU (later by NTA) to admit aspirants into their much-reputed management programs such as IGNOU’s MBA, Executive MBA, MBA specialization, and PG Diploma programs. IGNOU OPENMAT was once a prominent part of the IGNOU MBA admission procedure but has since been discontinued. The last IGNOU OPENMAT exam was conducted in 2021.
Candidates looking to gain admission to IGNOU’s well-renowned MBA programs are no longer required to attend or clear the OPENMAT exam but can instead visit IGNOU’s online admission portal to apply for the programs. Admissions to IGNOU MBA, Online MBA, MBA

How to apply for IGNOU MBA admission without OPENMAT
After the scrapping of the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance exam, IGNOU MBA admission is presently being conducted through IGNOU’s online admission portal. Interested candidates can log in to the IGNOU admission portal to fill and submit their admission forms during the January and June admission windows. Exam Dates and Frequency
The OPENMAT entrance test is conducted twice every year usually in the months August and February. The entrance exams for the year 2023 is yet to be announced. The dates of the entrance exam and the related dates can be found here:
OPENMAT Application and Forms
If you wish to apply for OPENMAT test in 2023, then you have to apply via IGNOU website. You can submit the application online ONLY. You can get the details about the application link and how to fill the application form below.
Test Syllabus
The OPENMAT test syllabus is designed to check the candidates overall aptitude in Management. You will be tested the on the basis of the following topics:

Validity of OPENMAT Score
The results of OPENMAT are valid for two semesters after qualification. You will be qualified in the OPENMAT entrance exam if you score the cut off marks or above. You can seek admission to IGNOU MBA or other management programs for the 2 subsequent semesters after qualification in OPENMAT. This means that there will be two admission openings every year and you can choose for admission in any one of the two sessions.

The results for the exam are published on the IGNOU official website and the Score Card is dispatched to your address via post.
